The history of the Shachihata brand dates back to 1925. The Japanese brand with traditions started with the production of Xstamper stamps.
The name comes from the Japanese Shachi or Shachihoko - a mythological creature with the body of a carp and the head of a tiger.
Shachihata pads are characterised by intense and long-lasting colours.
The ink is very easy to spread on the stamps and does not show through most papers, plus it is fade-resistant for a long-lasting effect.
The cushion contains quick-drying oil-based ink in an orange shade.
