Ystudio BRASSING Ruler

Ystudio was founded in 2012 in Taiwan. The company explores vanishing culture, devotes ourselves to linking past memories and modern life, makes fine artifacts.

This ruler is made in brass with precise graduations, and with the special paint on the surface but leave the shinning brass linings.

The brassing on the metal surface was accumulated through time. With the brassing, we can trace back the process that the user applied on the object and learn about their personal memory and story.

You can create personalized brassing effect by removing the paint on the surface with sanding paper which is attached in the product’s package.
