The history of BLACKWING pencil begins in 1930, when Eberhard Faber introduces it on a market. Blackwing becomes the cult pencil very fast, mostly due to the winners of Grammy Award, The Oscars or Pulitzer Price, who used these pencils.

Blackwings were used by, among others: John Steinbeck, Stephen Sondheim, Leonard Bernstein, and also Chuck Jones, an animation director who, with the help of this pencil, created Bugs Bunny and another characters of Looney Tunes.
