Polychromos crayons by Faber-Castell have been produced since 1908. Considered by many as the best crayons in the world, and their high quality was appreciated by Karl Lagerfeld or Ferdinand Porsche.
From Greek, Polychromos means “multitude of colors”, which is why the entire palette includes as many as 120 colors - from natural colors to earth or skin colors, so that each illustration will gain realism.
Polychromos crayons, despite being medium-hard, draw extremely softly. They have extremely saturated pigment and are ideal for blending.
They guarantee high opacity, making it possible to apply multiple layers on top of each other, even layering a light color over a dark one. In addition, they are characterized by high resistance to fading, abrasion, smudging and do not leave unsightly lumps on the paper.
Polychromos crayons are very light and hold well in the hand. They have graphite as thick as 3.8 mm, which is resistant to breaking and shattering. When tempering, the crayons retain their perfect point, its sharpness lasts for a long time - this proves the low wearability of the crayons.
The colors seen on the bodies of the crayons perfectly reflect the actual color of the graphite.
The crayons are made of certified wood from sustainable and responsibly managed forestry.
