Hobonichi Techo - Japan's favourite calendar - was created in 2001 by Shigesato Itoi. Throughout its 23 years of existence, the Hobonichi brand has been constantly changing to respond to the needs of its users, which has earned it the appreciation of millions of users around the world.
The Hobonichi Techo calendar in A6 size includes:
-an annual calendar from December 2024 to March 2026,
-a monthly index and a monthly calendar covering 16 months from December 2024 to March 2026,
-a daily calendar covering the months from January to December 2005.
Each page of the daily calendar includes a to-do list, daily hourly schedule, and space for notes! Each page is printed with a fine 3.7mm grid in 12 colours, with one colour for one month of our planner At the bottom of each page you will find an inspirational quote, as well as a small monthly calendar.
In addition to the calendars, the Hobonichi Techo notebook features 17 pages for notes, a page for writing down important contacts, an international size chart, a conversion table for units of measurement, and a list where we can write down, for example, 100 things to do this year or 100 books we want to read - it's all up to you!
The Hobonichi Original calendar has a soft cover in beige, which will be perfectly complemented by Hobonichi fabric covers.
The 2024 edition of the Hobonichi calendars is the first edition to be produced using the new Tomoe River S paper.
The 2024 edition of the Hobonichi calendars is the first to be produced using the new Tomoe River S paper.
In 2023, the machines producing the world's thinnest paper were shut down and production was taken over by Sanzen Paper Manufacturing, which has been producing paper since 1948. This company set itself the goal of replicating the iconic Tomoe River paper as perfectly as possible, but it is impossible for the new machines to produce an identical product. The new Tomoe River S paper has retained all the features that made Tomoe River paper unique, but is enhanced with additional properties.
Tomoe River S paper is:
-more resistant to translucency,
-lighter, while maintaining the same thickness,
-smoother.
Because the paper used for Hobonichi is so thin, the calendar itself remains small in size and weight, despite the large number of pages.
Among the details that make this one of the best-designed calendars in the world is that the way it is sewn allows it to be opened flat at any time, without the need to hold it down. And the rounded corners minimise the risk of bending the pages when carried loosely in a bag or backpack.
Each Hobonichi Techo calendar has its own serial number, giving each notebook an individual touch.
