The cover series from Japanese brand Hobonichi combines original design, with sturdy binding and high-quality materials. The cover is inspired by Shin-Bijutsukai.
Bijutsukai and Shin Bijutsuk ai are craft design books published during the Meiji period (1868-1912). Both contain beautiful designs created by various Japanese painters and designers. This collection of multicolored woodcut designs was published by Unsodo, a Kyoto-based art publisher and the only publisher of hand-printed woodcut books in Japan.
The graphic was printed on textured polyester fabric to bring out the warm touch of the pastel oil drawing. This composition depicts a bird's eye view of a ferry with the impression of a breeze blowing.
The center of the blue cover has nine convenient pockets, including pockets for cards and business cards, as well as two large pockets that are perfect for storing tickets, receipts and anything important to us! The cover lining, which you'll find underneath the pockets, also features a sky motif with seashells scattered throughout. It has pen holders that will also serve us as a closure. Just put the pen through the two holders at once to make sure that the cover will not open.
