To celebrate its 15th anniversary, the MD Paper brand has created a line of unique products. The series of 15 limited-edition notebooks with embossed covers was created in collaboration with artists from different parts of the world. You can read an interview with Mateusz Urbanowicz, who designed one of the covers, on our blog.
MD Paper products are created to make writing a pleasure. In line with this idea, MD Paper's anniversary collection is a series of products with the highest quality workmanship, whose minimalist design delights. The iconic MD notebooks have been enhanced with a thicker cover, and are joined by a new A7 size, an ink series, and many other limited edition products.
MD Paper notebook is made from creamy MD paper, which is created with only two ingredients - water and wood pulp. The river water used in the production of MD paper undergoes a refining process that adapts to the seasons and hydrological conditions, but before the paper reaches the hands of users it undergoes testing. With Japanese precision, its thickness, color, texture, as well as ink absorption are checked to make sure that the product is of the highest quality.
The new version of the iconic notebook has a thicker cover made of MD paper, so that we can easily write down even the first page of our notebook. MD Paper notebook has 176 smooth pages in A6 size.
The cover of the notebook was illustrated by Adrian Hogan and depicts Japanese sushi. The illustrator's biggest source of inspiration is the world around him, and the sketchbook is where ideas are born. One of the favorite motifs appearing in the illustrator's works is the very food he draws to appreciate the effort put into preparing food.
The graphic has been embossed on the cover without using color, so as to maintain the minimalist character of MD notebooks.
The notebook is sewn, so it opens flat. It also has one tab in red color.
