Roman Szmal Art is a Polish brand that was established in 2004 as a continuation of the Kremer Polska s.c. company. It specialises in the creation of high-quality watercolour paints, which have gained recognition among artists. These high-quality paints produced in Krakow are appreciated worldwide. The extensive colour range includes almost 200 colours, which have a very high lightfastness (7 or 8) on the eight-point Blue Wool Scale. This means that the colour on the sample exposed to sunlight, does not differ from the control sample, so the colours have a 100-year durability with adequate exposure.
The high-quality pigments used to create the watercolours are 100% of natural origin, thanks to the use of gum arabic and honey in the production, the watercolours retain their moisture content for a long time. The products are recommended by the Association of Polish Watercolourists and the sets are created by outstanding artists.
The set was composed by Andrzej Gosik - Polish painter, illustrator. He is famous for his many designs of postage stamps designed for the Polish Post Office. He specialises in landscapes, portraits, architectural interiors and surrealism, with the addition of rich ornamentation.
