The name Haiku Cards comes from the short poetic form haiku. A haiku is a seventeen-syllable poem that, by its content, praises the transience of all things. Containing one's thoughts in only 17 syllables is an art admired in Japan since the Edo period (1603-1868).

Haiku Cards encourage you to painterly capture the transience of everyday life and polish your artistry.
