The limited-edition Blackwing vol.574 pencils are a tribute to the art of Native North Americans.

Description

The latest edition of Blackwing 574 pencils is a nod to Native American art and the 574 nations that use it to highlight their identity.

In designing the pencil, Blackwing collaborated with Chris Pappan an Indian artist of Kaw, Osage, Lakota descent. This collaboration resulted in a pencil with geometric patterns reminiscent of those found in Indian culture and art.

Each pencil is decorated with an orange and maroon geometric pattern with gold details. The pencils have firm graphite and are finished with a gold cap in which a maroon eraser is placed.

Part of the proceeds from the sale of the pencils will be donated to the Cheyenne River Youth Project organization. The organization organizes educational programs for the youth of the Lakota tribe of the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation.
