Calligraphy set co-created with French illustrator Sophie Grotto, who was inspired by ikebana - the Japanese art of flower arranging - to create unique watercolor illustrations.
The set includes:
-transparent glass pen,
-a 10ml bottle of J.Herbin Bleu des Profondeurs ink,
-and a notebook with blank pages in three colors.
The pen included in the set is handmade from transparent glass and has a unique spiral shape that allows you to write even one page without re-inking the pen in ink. When the tip of the pen becomes slightly dull, gently rub it against fine sandpaper (e.g., 400 gradation).
The set also includes a bottle of J. Herbin Bleu des Profondeurs brand ink with a dark blue shade.
The set also includes a 13.4 x 15.8 cm pad with a cover decorated with a hand-painted illustration by Sophie Grotto. The notebook has 52 smooth pages in three colors: green, white and cream. Depending on the color, the sheets differ in texture and weight.
The set was packaged in a decorative box.
Clairefontaine gained its fame by being the first brand to create school notebooks in France. The brand opened a paper manufactory as early as 1858 and the production of stationery in 1890. Today, it is the first manufacturer in Europe to create paper for its products itself and a symbol of the highest quality. The brand refers to tradition and at the same time, following the spirit of time, responds to the needs of today's users, the best proof of which is the fact that all products are created from start to finish in harmony with the environment, as Clairefontaine takes care of hundreds of hectares of French forests and takes an active part in their sustainable development.
