Hobonichi Spring is a series of spring calendars created not only for Japanese students who are just starting school in April, but also aimed at those of us who need a fresh start, or the clean slate.
The A6-size Hobonichi Techo Spring pencil board are adorned with illustrations done in the early 20th century by prominent botanist Dr. Tomitaro Makino. They depict botanical, highly detailed drawings of dandelions and thistles. The ruler's back is decorated in yellow, referring to the color of the dandelion petals.
Tomitaro Makino is a pioneer of Japanese botany who named and described more than 2,500 plant species. His most important work is Natural History of Japanese Plants with Illustrations, published in 1900, in which the botanist documented and illustrated 50,000 plant species. The extremely detailed drawings were created through his keen observation, knowledge and experience.
Hobonichi Pencil Board is a ruler, pad and bookmark in one, made of durable synthetic paper with a matte finish.
With the Hobonichi Pencil Board, you can write in your favorite planner anywhere, even standing up, and mark where you've finished taking notes. The ruler also has a scale so we can use it as a ruler.
Hobonichi Pencil Board Planner fits the Hobonichi A6 size calendar.
