Description

The A5 size Hobonichi Techo pencil board is decorated with illustrations made in the early 20th century by the eminent botanist Dr Tomitaro Makino. They depict a botanical, highly detailed drawing of an orchid. The pencil board's back is decorated in green, referring to the colour of the orchid's stem.

Tomitaro Makino is a pioneer of Japanese botany who named and described more than 2,500 plant species. His most important work is the Natural History of Japanese Plants with Illustrations, published in 1900, in which the botanist documented and illustrated 50,000 plant species. The extremely detailed drawings were created through his keen observation, knowledge and experience.

The Hobonichi Pencil Board is a ruler, pad and bookmark in one, made of durable synthetic paper with a matt finish.

With the Hobonichi Pencil Board, you can write in your favourite planner anywhere, even standing up, and mark where you have finished taking notes. The ruler also has a scale so that we can use it as a ruler.

The Hobonichi Pencil Board fits not only Hobonichi calendars, but all A5 size notebooks.
