The inks are inspired by Art Nouveau, where the Kuretake brand had its beginnings. 

Each ink in the Art Nouveau series references color lithographs, so they evoke the nostalgic emotions of Art Nouveau.

Perkin Mauve is inspired by Queen Victoria's dress at the World Exhibition in Paris, which made the color mauve famous in the Art Nouveau era.

The violet pink color was developed by William Perkin and was the world's first chemical dye.
