The history of the BLACKWING pencil begins in 1930, when it is introduced to the market by Eberhard Faber. The Blackwing pencil very quickly becomes a cult, thanks to the Grammy, Oscar or Pulitzer Prize winners who used them.  

When their production ended in 1990, something extraordinary happened that added another chapter to its history. The leftovers that remained on the retail market reached the dizzying price of $40 apiece, earning it the title of the most expensive wooden pencil in the world. 

High-quality graphite and replaceable eraser - these are the characteristic features of Blackwing, which were appreciated by many famous artists around the world.

Blackwing was used by, among others, John Steinbeck, StephenSondheim, Leonard Bernstein, as well as Chuck Jones, who created Bugs Bunny and many other characters from the popular cartoon Looney Tunes using this unusual pencil.,

The 602 short pencils are inspired by the golf length pencils that are used when recording golf scores. They are about half the length of a traditional Blackwing.

They are ideal for traveling, as they can easily fit in a pocket or bag.

Each pencil features a gold "Half the Pressure, Twice the Speed" print, metallic gray finish and the iconic Blackwing square cap with pink eraser.
